This week we get to sit down and chat with writer and psychology researcher
from #365 days of compassion over on facebook and compassionate nature, over here on substack.Chris has done a lot, knows a lot and expertly gives us some great insights into the links between nature and positive mental health.
We talk about Chris’s personal journey and also his discovery of Compassion Focussed Therapy which was developed by British psychologist professor Paul Gilbert.
We go on to talk about the links with nature and gardening and also discuss whether it is possible for men to be compassionate towards themselves. Well — it depends what you mean by compassionate? — don’t worry, Chris has a good explanation about that as well.
Chris, it was a joy to speak to you. Thank you so much for giving up your time to come on and educate us. It was a conversation that I know both Cody and I got a lot out of.
