Also, I forgot to say.....i too can not stand the new 'google' I. phone' what ever... phone advert that encourages us all to make the picture perfect.... to edit it to an unrealistic level of memory to that event/moment ect.... It is delusional irresponsible behaviour of a multi million pound company that has the ability to influence millions into believing that a tool encourages a state of perfection...... Even as a Professional Photographer.
Being a fan of Country file and the Good life, and of Ellie, this episode fits so well into a sense of nostalgia and reflection. Ellie spoke beautifully about her own journey of her whys. We all have our own journey and whys whether we know them or not yet. As always, Ellie talks about mindfulness, this charged buzz word, that can be a little intimidation, with ease and fluidity, putting it in away we can incorporate it into our own everyday. The 'Kettle boil Mind' (literally stilling myself and mind as the kettle boils each day), is how I think of it, it is essential for an everyday moment (or moments) of mindfulness for me helps me to quiet and de-noise the day. As a photographer 1st, and mindfulness within my practice 2nd, I can very easily be influenced by 'the perfect picture' technically, using techniques Ellie talks about in her episodes have re-rooted me to my 'Whys' of being a photographer. Thank you Rich and Cody for this enlightening, insightful, funny and practical listen. I am now 'back logging' all your other episodes and passing your podcast onto my Husband.
Thank you so much for listening, Rebecca. Ellie was amazing to talk to and I love her energy. I really appreciate your kind thoughts, being willing to listen to past episodes and even passing it along.
Haha yesโฆthereโs just no need. Someone once said to me, when I was a young man, just because you can, doesnโt mean you should. Listen up google ๐

Thanks for commenting and for listening and good luck with your continued mindfulness practice ๐
Two things are important here: the Countryfile bobble hat, and Tom and Barbara. Thank you for having me on guys, it was a blast!
Thank you, Ellie -- it was great to have you on!
